Myrrh, of course, has a rather medicinal smell. I personally don't care for the smell but it's uses are wonderful!
One of my daughters use to get a bloody nose very easily. You barely bump her and bamm! she was bleeding everywhere.
On one particular occasion I put myrrh on the bridge of her nose. Immediately the bleeding stopped. And remarkably enough, she hasn't had a bloody nose since. That probably has surprised me more than the myrrh stopping the bleeding.
I even used myrrh on the birth of my last baby. It was excellent! In comparison to some of my previous births my blood loss was minimal.
This is an oil I carry in my purse.

This is not an oil that has an enjoyable scent (at least to me it has an 'oily' musky smell) but it has wonderful therapeutic properties. I know, buying from BHH it is also great quality. This oil has been extremely helpful in treating my young son's eczema. I also add a bit to other blends as it helps to preserve other, more volatile oils. I also love it's Biblical associations!
